Here the girls build a motorised robot capable of receiving forward, reverse, motor speed and on-duration instructions provided remotely from the code they will assemble on the iPad.
We have to learn about and use the programming blocks to control all aspects of the robot’s motion. It is more than ‘on’ and ‘off’. The motor has to be programmed to switch on and operate at a certain speed for a certain period of time in a certain direction. We have to think it all through in advance to make sure the robot does what we want it to do.
